A place out of the ordinary
Sitting on the site of the Niddrie Quarry, which supplied basalt to pave the roads of Melbourne from the 1940s to 1975, the area surrounding Valley Lake was first settled in the mid 1800s by Scotsman, Thomas Napier. The remaining basalt cliff face now provides panoramic views and exclusive living like no other.
Purchased by Places Victoria in 2000, work first commenced just over a decade ago, and already over 300 homes have been finished. When complete, this haven in the heart of it all will play host to 580 homes.
